Parent involvement has always been a very necessary and vital factor in the preschool's ability to achieve its goal of maintaining a high standard of education. The school does rely on proceeds from fundraising activities to augment its educational program. Upon registration, you are required to sign up for one of the support committees.

In the event of non-participation, a $300 fee is charged to the non-participating family.

These committees include:

Social - The Social Committee is mainly responsible for two social events as well as the coordination of decorations and some desserts for the Auction. The two social events are (1) the Family Picnic and (2) the Holiday Family Social.

Hospitality - Some of the responsibilities of the Hospitality Committee include, hospitality/baking for EHPS events and organizing catering and possibly serving at the Auction.

School Improvements - The school improvement committee coordinates and manages projects for school improvements, such as replacement of carpeting, painting of the building, etc. This committee works closely with the Board and school Directors on major property improvements.

Work Party - The Work Party Committee performs annual maintenance before school starts in the Fall and then routine cleanup, yardwork and maintenance on a monthly basis throughout the school year.

Fundraising - The fundraising committee is extremely important to the school. They are responsible for soliciting donations for our annual Auction fundraising event. Past projects of the fundraising committee include, stepping stones for our new backyard, entertainment coupon books, jewelry sales and scrapbooking nights.

Marketing - The Marketing and Registration Committee's main objective is to market the school both externally and internally. Some of the responsibilities include research cost effective methods of advertising, providing market research for such things as tuition and teacher salaries, promoting the school in an effort to maintain full enrollment.

Registration - The registration committee is responsible for updating all of our registration materials and handling all aspects of student registration.

Personnel - This committee is responsible for matters confidential by nature. Responsibilities include, setting personnel policies,updating and revising the personnel manual as needed, observing the Directors once a year at the school, mediating personnel issues, generating and revising staff contracts, and making recommendations to the Board regarding salary adjustments.

Scrip/E-Scrip - The Scrip committee manages the scrip and e-scrip program. Scrip responsibilities is broken into two parts the initial start-up of the Scrip program at the beginning of school and the on-going weekly order processing.

Board of Directors - The EHPS Board of Directors meets once a month on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. Responsibilities of the Board of Directors includes, but is not limited to, setting the policies for the Corporation, setting the budget and tuition fess, approving major expenditures and handling the business aspects of the Corporation.
